Up to this date, video games specifically those about car racing are undeniably
popular. From those videos for personal use to arcade stores to cellular phone games
even to movies, you would find at least one game of the said type. From the time that I
was still a little girl up until now that I am already a grown up, there is still no saying
goodbye for this type of game. It may have been upgraded, but it will never lose its
patrons who will not get tired of playing with it. But I say, with the advancement of
technology and the number of things that you could do, what makes car games just so
popular?
The Adrenalin Rush
I do not know with you, but I feel a burst of adrenalin rush whenever I get to play
a video game about car races. It is as if I do have control of my own fate, and I live in a
world with no rules. I feel like I could let go of my anger whenever I am playing a car
game because just like any other game, your purpose is to win— and for you to win, you
have to speed up your car. And while speeding up your car, you get angry more
especially if you see your competitor’s car is ahead of you. Do you get what I am trying
to say? Thinking of your enemy while driving your car is one way to heat up the
adrenalin inside of you, this ends up in you driving faster, which end up again in you
being able to win the race.
One Can Do
If you suddenly feel the urge to hit someone’s face in the middle of night, it is
better to divert your attention in playing a racing game than to end up being in trouble.
Playing a racing game is just like other video games wherein you can play alone if you
do not want anyone to bug you. It is better of course if you get to play with some of your
friends, but I suggest that it would be better to play alone if you are really in a bad mood.
You can always choose to play with a computer who is equally competent as you, but it
is still more exciting and challenging if you get to play with another human being.
Hold It Right There
But wait, hold your horses. Even if I said that the only way to win is by
increasing your speed, always remember that it only applies in the world of car video
games. I also said that you are in the world where there are no rules, but this should not
be brought to the real world. If you are a self-proclaimed bad driver, you better know
where the line falls between a video game world and the real world. Lastly, if you
yourself know that you do not know how to drive, just practice your driving in a car
game road and not in a real world so as to avoid accidents and to prevent any casualties.
